SHAH ALAM, July 29 2022 — The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is in the midst of preparing a roadmap for its Vision 2030 plan to become a world-class organisation in the near future.
Chief executive officer Datuk Mahmud Abbas said after 58 years of establishment, the agency needs to move forward to become more successful compared to other Malaysian conglomerates and contribute to the state’s economic development.
“We need to think about what we want to achieve in 2030, what needs to be done and what projects need to be carried out for the people’s benefit.
“I hope that all parties will share their views on our Vision 2030,” he said in a speech during the PKNS 2021 Outstanding Service Award (APC) ceremony here, last night.
A total of 75 PKNS staff received the APC 2021 awards, presented by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari in recognition of their commitment and contributions in 2021.
Meanwhile, in his speech, Amirudin said he was proud of PKNS’ performance throughout the years, from being an institution that focused on the development of communities and societies in the state, to expanding its wings in various sectors and business constituents.
“From the energy industry, manufacturing to services, PKNS has not missed out on continuing urban development as well as housing efforts for the community,” he said.
