Subang Jaya, May 30, 2023 — Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), is propelling smart Malaysia to new heights with the strategic appointment of five more prestigious dealers, in their journey to deliver unparalleled automotive excellence and groundbreaking mobility solutions.
In a statement today, PRO-NET said the new dealerships, with vast experience catering to buyers of luxury automotive brands, namely Smart Mobility Sdn Bhd, GB Auto Sdn Bhd, Eleganz Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, Lee Motors (Alor Star) Sdn Bhd, and Sigma Energy EV Sdn. Bhd, will significantly augment smart’s brand visibility throughout the nation.
As the official importer and distributor for smart vehicles in Malaysia and Thailand, the appointments are poised to accelerate the sales of the company’s all-new innovative electric vehicle (EV), the award-winning smart #1, which is set to dazzle Malaysians before the end of 2023, said CEO of PRO-NET Zhang Qiang.
“smart epitomises the pinnacle of premium EV mobility solutions with a combination of futuristic design and advanced technology, hence, it is paramount that our appointed dealers deliver on our brand promise with unparalleled service that reinforces the exciting customer journey regarding ownership of smart vehicles,” according to Zhang Qiang.
In line with the roll-out plan for smart products in Malaysia, the initial wave of dealerships will be located at prime locations and major cities across Peninsular Malaysia.
Situated in the affluent enclave of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Smart Mobility will target a diverse spectrum of clientele, ranging from expatriates to high-profile corporate individuals. Meanwhile, GB Auto’s strategic positioning along the automotive belt in Ipoh, Perak, and alongside among other prestigious brands, amplifies the ease of access and comfort for customers.
Three additional partners, namely Eleganz Lifestyle, a well-known 4S car dealership, situated in its own architectural marvel within the automotive zone, as well as Lee Motors and Sigma Energy EV, both occupying prominent stand-alone buildings, will deliver the smart brand experience to customers in Penang, Kedah, and Melaka.
Zhang Qiang further added that seven dealers have been appointed this month, including Hap Seng Smart and Edaran Otomobil Nasional (EON), laying the groundwork to reach out to customers prior to the launch of the smart #1.
More partners are being considered for collaborations, including those in East Malaysia where PRO-NET plans to bring the smart brand next year.
The dealer appointments come as part of smart Malaysia’s strategy to introduce its new-premium, intelligent, and all-electric auto brand to the local market, which includes the establishment of an all-new smart brand centres or affectionately known as “smart Space” as a one-stop centre for EV adoption and convenience.
smart one-stop centers will offer mobility solutions to smart’s EV adopters where all outlets will be equipped with full sales and service support for the customer’s peace of mind. They will also offer a premium brand experience and other additional services to smart customers including quick charging, quick repair services and a delivery center.
Additionally, to empower customers in the digital era, an innovative smart app will open the doors into an immersive digital journey replete with convenient access to product information, ordering and payment options, and an integrated EV charging map with easy-to-navigate DC charging facilities, thus ensuring smart vehicle owners remain powered on their daily motoring ventures.
“We believe EV is not only about positioning premium products but most importantly it is how we can strive to be an inspiring creator and urban companion to provide a new premium service experience to customers and invite them to co-create a better future together.
“We are working hard to ensure that our EV mobility ecosystem is ready before the launch of the smart #1 at the end of this year and we will share more news about other major developments in the coming months,” added Zhang Qiang.
